Brushes

Timmy Being BrushedOh I love being brushed. It is one of my favorite things. Sometimes I have to work hard to get either mommy or daddy to come into my room and give me brushes; but when I do, I love it!

timmyonpostMostly I have to yell, otherwise mommy and daddy stay busy doing unimportant things. Many times I have to stand on my scratching post, like a mountain lion, so they can see me being exciting. When they finally hear me and come over to me, I run in front of them to my room. I jump onto my stand, and look handsome!

They know to brush me then… I love being brushed it makes me feel good! Sometimes mommy or daddy say that they find an extra kitty’s worth of fur on me. I like to sniff the fur and watch them put it in a big white bucket.

I think they like me… I like being brushed.

The Little Room

littleroomI am pretty certain that my people go into the little room and have lots of fun. For some reason, they go into the room, close the door, have a light on. They make the room noisy AND they leave me outside in the hall.

I yell really loud; they don’t let me in.

I put my feet under the door; they rarely play with me.
I roll on the floor and make cuddly noises; no one comes to hold me.

I just don’t understand.

When they come out of the room; I run in. But there’s nothing there. I jump on the counter and poke my head around the corner, but no one comes to be exciting. I am exciting but they’re gone.

I know the room must be lots of fun.  It is VERY interesting. I am pretty sure it must be one of their favorite places.

I just don’t understand why I don’t get to have fun there, too.

Sunday company

Today has been one of those great days.  My buddy Gus came to visit me!

Two Guys at the windowI gave Gus great big hugs when he arrived. He hugged me back and made lots of good Gus noises… and hit me on my head with his front paws. I closed my eyes and fell on top of him and hugged him some more. I think he likes my hugs.

Gus’s mommy brought lots of food for me to eat… I like eating Gus’s food best. Gus likes eating mine, too.

We went into my play room; we ran VERY fast around my house. Mommy opened windows for us to look out of and I looked outside.  Gus hid from the sunshine and looked out the windows from the back of the sofa. Gus likes being up high; I like being warmed by the sun. We played chase many times around the house. When Gus got lost, I yelled loudly for Gus to come play. He just ignored me. I tried to get Gus to come watch my birds, but he stayed on the ground and looked at other things.

In the laundry roomWhen Gus laid down for too long in my favorite places, I ran and made him move away. He made lots of noises, waved his arms, tried to hit me in the face but he finally left.

Gus and I slept a lot. I got to lay in the sunshine by my window; Gus slept on the sofa and on the dining room table- he likes sleeping up high.

We had a fun time, ate each others food, and used each others litter pans.

I am glad when Gus comes to visit me.

The Doctor.

Yesterday was a very scary day.  Mommy got up EARLY in the morning (she never does that) and gave me snuggles.  Then we went on a car ride.  I like cars.  But then she took a wrong turn.  We went to the doctor.  I shook and cried, but she took me in anyway.  Then to make it even worse, they took me away from her!  They put me in a kennel in the back for a very long time.  There were dogs barking, and kitties crying, and weird smells and it was scary!!!  Then they took me out and shaved one of my legs and put something in it.  It hurt, so I kicked it out.  Then they shaved one of my front legs.  I started waving and crying because I wanted Mommy.  They said I was being difficult.  So they shaved my other front leg and put something in there that made me feel really tired and yucky.  Then they cleaned my teeth (or so Mommy tells me).  Then they put me back in that kennel.  I don’t like kennels.  They gave me more medicine, it made me see things.  It was scary.  Then Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up.  Daddy NEVER comes to the doctor!  I must have been really lucky. (or bad depending on which way you look at it)  I sat on Mommy’s lap the whole way home.  She didn’t know why I was scared.  They had only told her that I would be sleepy.  I was scared of the lights and of moving.  We went upstairs, and Mommy let me out.  I got REALLY scared.  I ran into things and I fell on my butt.  People made noises and I fell on my butt.  I couldn’t walk straight, and I didn’t know who Mommy and Daddy were.  So Mommy called the doctor.  Then they put me into the bathroom with my pan, my food, my bed, and my favorite toys.  I calmed down.  It was dark.  Soon Daddy came to let me out.  Mommy said that I had eaten a lot.  I liked my food.  I ate two whole cans!  I’m going to be a big boy.  Then I went and snuggled with Mommy and Daddy on the couch.  We watched TV together.  I fell asleep.

I’m feeling much better now.

Gus! My buddy.

My buddy Gus came for a visit today.

He was already in the house and walking through the family room when I finally noticed he was there.  When he saw me, he smiled and hissed. Gus was happy to see me!

timgus1We chased each other around the house.  We ran very fast.  Gus chased me… I chased Gus.  I was fastest.

I helped Gus eat his food.  His mommy brought my favorite kind of food- Gus’ food!  I ate a lot;  Gus ate a lot, too.

We ran and played.  We made lots of noise.  We crashed into walls because we ran very fast.  My feet would not hold onto the ground when I made fast turns.  I slid.

timgus2When we finished running, we got to look at the birds and squirrels.  We made lots of chatter. The birds and squirrels liked us.  We liked looking at them.  They were exciting.  We had fun.  Gus let me sit next to him.  He didn’t even yell or hiss or show me his teeth.

Then Gus went home… I was tired.  I slept.

My Tree

treeremovalDo you know what they did yesterday?

They took away my green, fuzzy tree! I liked my tree. It was really nice. It had lots of ringing bells and shiny balls all over it. I played with the balls; I rang the bells.  Everyone laughed when I played with the toys on my tree. They made it go away. I can’t believe they did that to me.

They took all the balls and bells and put them in one of those boxes that Gus likes. The box made nice noises, sounded very interesting, but I could not get into it and then they hid the box in the basement. They took the tree down and broke it into pieces. They stuffed the pieces into a really big box. I tried to stop them, but they did it anyway and now it’s gone.

They vacuumed the room; made lots of noise. Then they put a boring chair in the place where my fun tree stood. I can’t believe it. It’s gone. I must have been bad.

I am sad.

Paper!

buddies

Gus came to visit! I like it when my buddy Gus is at my house. We play and have lots of good times together. I like my buddy, Gus!

We had a great many outstanding adventures during this visit. Our people were acting very strange, but they had very many NEW toys. Some of them were fuzzy, some of them moved, some of them were fun to bite… but best of all some were krinkly! You could crawl under them, charge through them, scatter them around the room and even HIDE in them!  I have never seen so many fun things at one time. There was a HUGE pile of these krinkly toys!papers1

I got to chase Gus through these toys! He hid under them, peeked out, and let me jump on him. When I jumped Gus made his favorite play sound…. RRREEOOOW hsssssssss. AND! He showed me his teeth and waved his feet in the air! He likes to do that. We rolled on the floor and ran after each other. Everyone thought we were funny. They laughed. Gus and I were VERY busy.  Things flew in the air.  We moved VERY fast. It was fun.

tiredIn the end, we were both extremely tired and needed to sleep. Our mommies and daddies still wanted to play with balls, jingles and strings, but we needed to sleep. It was a very fun time.

My friend!

I was resting upstairs in my bed when I heard the front door bell. I like it when the front door bell rings; it usually means people have come to visit me! People like to visit me!

I ran fast out to the hall and yelled loud.  I have to yell loud so people will know I am there… I don’t want them to miss me, because they have come to visit me. They want to pet me and be my friends, mostly.

Gus was there! My buddy. He is my very best friend.  I like him a lot.  He makes lots of loud noises, rolls over to show me how big his feet are and waves his arms! He makes funny noises and shows me his teeth; I think he is proud of his teeth.

He curls up and tries to grab me with his arms. I like to jump on him and show him how friendly I can be.  He gets really noisy when I play with him in a kitty heap. He gets really small and yells at me. Gus had many loud things to say- for little kitty he sure has a big voice. He tells me all kinds of things and I have to stand still.

tim-gus-eatingWhen I stand still and let him out of our cuddly kitty heap, he goes fast to my eating place and eats my food for me. I think he is trying to be helpful.  He likes my food!  It is good food.  I like food!

Sometimes when he yells really loudly and holds me with his teeth, Gus’ mommy and daddy put Gus in a room by himself. I think it’s because Gus gets tired quickly. When he is in his room resting, I have to lay really low and stick my arms under the door. When I do that really well, Gus will come and touch my paws. I think he likes playing with me.  I am sad when Gus is tired and has to rest.

We got to play and cuddle many times. Gus was very happy. He waved his arms lots! He got to roll over on the ground and let me cuddle him. He got to rest many times.  I like being his friend.

I think he likes me.

A sad week

This last week has been VERY sad. I try to be good but…

My mommy and daddy were gone almost every day. They left my house early in the mornings, right after I had breakfast and a few pets and brushes; and they didn’t come back until it was nearly bed time. It was dark…

I tried being exciting in the mornings.  They still left.

I tried running around the living room VERY fast, but the left me anyway.

I ran from window to window to look out and be exciting with my outside friends- like my really HUGE mice with horns. But, they left my house anyway.

I was VERY sad.

When they came home at night, I purred. I let them hold me and cuddle. I gave them smiles, hugs, and cuddles. I stretched REALLY BIG for them. I ran VERY fast. I played with my toys. I was exciting.

But they left me the next day; alone again. I was SAD.

I AM sad when they leave me at home all day… alone.

I hope they will stay home with me today… and be my friends. We will have FUN!

Boxes

Every now and then, Mommy and Daddy go out.  And when they come back, they always have these really cool cardboard things for me to play on and chew!  One time, they came back with these things that Mommy puts on the stove and makes food with (I don’t get why she likes those), but she gave me the box!  And it had little cardboard things inside of it that I could throw around and make a mess with.  It made them laugh.  I like making them laugh.  Then last week, Daddy got something that Mommy called his Christmas present.  I don’t really get it, it’s a box that sits on a table and they watch pictures on it.  I’m not sure what it really does.  But it came with a HUGE box!  Daddy cut doors in it, and made me a ramp too.  I really like it.  I can climb on it, and in it, too!  And they even throw toys in there for me to play with.  And when they’re in my room with me, I can stand on top of it and give them kisses.  I like giving kisses.  Mommy says I’m a good kisser.  I think she might like me.  But my favorite boxes are the ones that they’re using.  Those are really awesome.  I really like it when Daddy and Mommy play games, because I can take over their box and then they can’t put anything away and have to stay up with me allllllll night!  It’s pretty exciting.  And I discovered that shoe boxes are almost as much fun as toilet paper!  I can shred them too.  Mommy doesn’t like it when I shred boxes or toilet paper though.  I don’t understand it.  I think it’s fun!  She’s worried about me getting something called a “blockage” again.  I don’t remember it, but she says it’s from when I ate styrofoam when I was little.  She says I didn’t like it.  Well, that’s all for today.  I have to go help Mommy do the laundry.  I’m a good helper!
