Oh well, the holidays are over. My rest time is at an end. I have to go back to the office again. My work is waiting.
It means my commute is back again; I have to walk downstairs to the basement office, and it’s a long walk. When I get to the office, I have to sit at my windows at look for my mice (the huge ones with really big sticks on their heads); I look for my squirrels- the black ones and the grey ones, too. I have to sit and stare out to see where they go and make sure they don’t come into my house- I don’t think they will actually all fit in my house. There are too many of them and they would eat all my foods.
I have to talk to mommy to make sure she knows I’m in the office with her; she gets lonely otherwise. She spends a lot of time staring at a light screen and making clicking sounds; mommy gets very lonely when I am quiet and not near her! I keep her awake.
I have to sniff everything downstairs to make certain things are just right. I have to look for Gus, just in case he stayed here after his mommy and daddy left.
I sit and look. I look and sit. I wait and sniff.
I have lots to do. I missed getting all my work done during the holidays. I think I’ll sit in my chair and think.
I’ll be done soon….
